Optional QuadHub Token

Point pi-star's model calls at the QuadHub Token service.

When to use it

pi-star does not require QuadHub: it can use your own providers, API keys and local model configuration. If you already use QuadHub’s Token service, you can point pi-star’s model requests at QuadHub so quotas, usage and billing stay in one place.

Connecting

pi-star supports OpenAI-compatible and Anthropic Messages streaming providers. To connect QuadHub, add an OpenAI-compatible provider in pi-star’s model / provider settings:

  • Base URL: the Token service URL shown in the QuadHub console
  • API Key: a key created in the QuadHub console
  • Model: a model id enabled for your QuadHub account

Use the exact URL, key and model list from your QuadHub console. pi-star does not implement QuadHub billing; metering, quotas and bills are handled by QuadHub.

Without QuadHub

Without a QuadHub provider, pi-star keeps using the providers and credentials already in ~/.pi/agent, and all sessions remain local. Both setups can coexist; choose providers or models per session.

Edition

pi-star is MIT open source and has no private edition. QuadHub Token is optional and does not change pi-star’s local capabilities.
